![]() ![]() ![]() Maybe you can consider synchronizing the laser software and a DMX system like M-PC over Midi Show Control. Lasers are a very small market and there are great software systems specifically developed for the needs of Laser operators. No other support of Laser devices is planned for either platform. ![]() LJ and M-PC are DMX controllers, if your systems support DMX then its fully supported. Unfortunately we really can’t solve this for you as LJ is no longer actively developed and sold as is. Hi! I am part of the controller product management team at Martin and the admin of this forum. Hopefully we’ll concentrate on methid instay of discuss if worth or not… I proposed different ways for solve it, a MIDI output with windows panels, or a way to sniff RAM looking for DMX output, or use ethernet DMX, or some instructions to build and external application (but with control panels), you may just write “no no one of these ideas is applicable, we’re not going to support you”, or “yes look here how it works”. I’m asking for a way to solve issue, I think it’s in your advantage since lasers are cheaper then the past now and more popular in clubs/concerts/etc. Actually Quickshow can be controlled by MIDI, and Spaghetti is planning to do it, other softwares may already do. It would be really welcome then to use the standard ILDA port, driven by a lasershow software. This is why it’s important that LJ support laser, it dows already for dmx lasers, but unfortunately most of dmx lasers doesn’t have SD card and dmx trigger of files inside it, others doesn’t properly offer. It’s impossible fo the light operator and stupid to use two different platforms for producing the desidered effect, it’s smart to use one single button for it, it’s smart to create cues before the party with laser and lights together. ![]() Laser should work according to lights and produce with them the desidered effect, for example all white atmosphere, or shut down all lights to let the laser show only. Now how can I assign a normal DMX fixture using Sandnet instead of USB DMX? Does Sandnet create a virtual DMX hardware and will LJ use this virtual DMX and also (contemporary) the USB DMX?įirst I would assure you know that LJ actually supports different lasers, so it does, and that it’s not absurd to drive the lasers from the same platform I use for controlling the lights. …and artnet is suppose Sandnet (I see there DMX). I hope and think there is a trick/way without rebuild the version, or maybe something can be done for M-PC that works also on LJ (for example the External application feature can just be developed with normal control panels, and send a string with values), there were also suggestions here like artnet… I’m not pretending/asking a new version of LJ, just a way/trick to have a “normal fixture panels” and output from it MIDI strings containing the values, or know where LJ will map the DMX output (it could be enough for me to export them) or how to write a new External application with a virtual fixture with control panels (not only the string output panel). Kimarius: thank you for answer, yes I know about it but honestly I’ve so many expenses about restyling/upgrading the light on the clab that save the cost of a new licence + all time to move cues to M-PC should be considered. ![]()
